FIRST COMMUNION: First Communion training is offered to all second graders or to those kids who may be older but have not received training. Training is held during the spring.
CONFIRMATION: Confirmation, the affirmation of baptism, is open to all youth in seventh and eighth grade. Classes are held on Sunday mornings following worship under direction of the Pastor and Youth Minister.
CHILDREN’S MOMENT: Takes place during Sunday worship following the second scripture reading, youth in the congregation are invited to the front of the sanctuary for a short message. Following this message children ages pre-k through 5th grade are invited to gather for an activity. They return to worship before communion.
AFTERWORD: Middle & High School Youth are invited following the sermon to meet with the Youth Minister. During this time they will connect with the message for the day and spend time in prayer. The youth will return following the offering hymn.
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL: Vacation Bible School, also referred to as VBS, is one action packed week during the summer where children from preschool – sixth grade learn about Jesus and Bible stories through songs, crafts, recreation and even snacks!
CUB SCOUTS AND BOY SCOUTS: Cub Scouts meet at Grace for their meetings and events, including the Pinewood Derby.
NOAH’S ARK PRE-SCHOOL: Noah’s Ark preschool is a faith based program for 3 – 5 year old children which provides solid kindergarten skills in a loving Christian setting. Noah’s Ark is a state licensed center which has earned a Step Up to Quality award in 2013.
VOLUNTEERS TO ASSIST YOUTH PROGRAMS: Volunteers are always needed to help out with monthly planned activities, Sunday School, Wednesday night activities, VBS and other special events. Help is always needed for working directly with the youth to provide transportation to and from youth events.
